Restaurants, grocery stores, food transformers commit to biodiversity!

Restaurants, grocery stores and food transformers take on the challenge to support local artisanal seeds.

In barely a century, humanity has wiped out 75% of food biodiversity.
To support the exceptional work of local seed breeders and to fight against the loss of biodiversity, the ‘from farm to fork’ network has created the Seed Guardians Operation. Heirloom seeds that had been forgotten, rare or threatened are back in the fields and in our plate. Thanks to dozens of local farmers, those varieties come back to life so that we can discover again the true treasures of diversity.

Who are the seeds guardians?

A new season for Seed Guardians that brings together chefs, grocery store owners, seed keepers and farmers around a common mission: reimplement biodiversity in the fields and in the plates.

Seed breeders

Local artisanal seed keepers select varieties they want to promote to create a common catalog.

Farmers

Arrivage activates its network of incredible farmers to find the ideal partner so that the magic comes alive.

Ambassadors

The chef, grocery store owner or the food processor choose the seed that he will promote this season along his partners.

The 2019 edition:

50 varieties in the spotlight

For its second season, the Seed Guardians Operation brings together more than 50 ambassadors. In partnership with local farmers, their mission is to promote the diversity of taste, colors and shapes that nature has to offer. Explore the diversity of our heritage and go meet them!
